Meridian, Idaho, August 12, 2020 – Microbe Formulas is partnering with Idaho Community Outreach Behavioural Services (COBS) in Boise for a Fill the Shelves event to collect essential items to give to local victims of sex trafficking and crime after they are rescued.
Microbe Formulas will be accepting donations from August 31, 2020 to September 5, 2020 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m daily at 3750/- East Pewter Falls St. Suite 100, Meridian, ID 83642.
New items needed include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, socks, underwear, backpacks, clothes, shoes, pajamas, sports bras, and non-perishable food items.
Cash donations are also accepted and will go toward pre-determined packages designed to help victims with immediate needs.
A $50 donation will cover the cost of a backpack with three days’ worth food, while $40 will cover a TracFone and prepaid minutes so the victim can communicate with her recoverty/trauma team and counsellor. A $15 donation will be put toward a hygiene kit, consisting of a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and soap.
This projet is a collaborative effort between Microbe Formulas, a supplement company in Meridian,, and COBS, a local crisis team who is on the front lines every day providing support, trauma care, and supplies of sex trafficking victims in the Treasure Valley.
CEO of Microbe Formulas, Ryan Riley, said learning more about the frequency and impact of sex trafficking, especially locally, is heartbreaking.
