The holiday’s have come and gone, but winter is still in full effect, and what’s better than a hot coffee or a nice cocktail to keep you warm? We lined up our favorite, locally made and crafted, coffee creations and cocktails found only in Meridian. Try one (or all) to help you get through the last few weeks of winter, and on to spring.
Raspberry White Mocha
Where: Royal Coffee Co.
What: A sweet treat for you with that caffeinated punch you are looking for. Rich raspberry flavor blended with a white mocha sauce to bring you the most delicate, sweet flavor. Paired with creamy espresso, milk, and topped with whipped cream. You can order this one hot, over ice, or blended for those warmer days ahead.
Where: Mountain Timber Coffee
What: A refreshing cup-of-joe for when the weather is frightful! A white chocolate sauce combined with a dark chocolate sauce and paired with peppermint flavor creates this winter favorite. Steamed milk and hot shots of espresso are poured over the flavors, and then whipped cream is garnished. You’ll be feeling in the Christmas spirit all over again!
Where: Chardoney’s Brew Lane Coffee
What: Don’t be confused by the quirky name! This drink is purely caffeine, and one that we can’t take our hands off! It starts with steamed almond milk and half and half that are then combined with delicious shots of espresso, topped with rich caramel sauce and finished with whipped cream.
Where: Deja Brew Laugh A Latte
What: One of the specialties on the menu, the Deja Brew, named after the coffee shop and restaurant itself, will keep you coming back for more (and not feel bad for it)! Smooth vanilla is mixed with steamed breve and combined with freshly brewed hot coffee that is then sprinkled with cinnamon and a delicate drizzle of honey! How delicious does that sound?!
Apple Rosemary Julep
Where: Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar
What: This exotic, but sweet, cocktail starts with Crown Apple Regal Whiskey that is paired with a pungent rosemary simple syrup, splashed with soda water, and garnished with apple to create this refreshing drink that will have you feeling warm in no time!
Where: Yard House
What: Tired of the winter blues? Change it up with this color changing margarita that is nothing short of magical! Don julio blanco tequila is mixed with color-changing citrus agave to create this almost too pretty to drink drink!
Where: Gino’s Italian Ristorante
What: Aviation Gin is combined with crème de violette to create a flowery sweet taste and is paired with the Italian dry wine mixture Cinzano Dy Vermouth. The combination is shaken and served with a lemon peel and will give you all the summer vibes you need to withstand the rest of winter.
Cold Brew Martini
Where: Backstage Bistro
What: Coffee and cocktails combine for this specialty drink found at Backstage Bistro! It begins with chocolate syrup drizzled in a martini glass that is then filled with a salted caramel blend and Skyy Cold Brew Coffee. It’ll keep you buzzing!
